About Tony Di Fatta

tony

Tony grew up in the Baltimore County area and went to Calvert Hall College High School where he graduated in 2002. He has maintained a strong tie to his alma mater, and organized a reunion every 5 years since graduating. He attended Towson University, where he was President of the Honors Accounting Society, Beta Alpha Psi. Tony graduated from Towson University in 2006 after completing 150 accounting credits in just four years – the typical student takes five years. This was all while managing and bartending at the Baja Beach Club three nights a week, as well as family business.

A year after graduating, Tony became a Certified Public Accountant and began working at KPMG. After two years he left and joined SC&H, a regional accounting and business consultancy in Sparks, MD. While working there, he co-founded the Baltimore Bocce League, which has now grown into a nationwide recreational sports league. This success led to Tony taking off on his own to start TDF Tax and Accounting. At the same time, he and his business partner, Mike Tich, bought and renovated a building in downtown Towson and turned the space into Insight Community, an incubator for developing small businesses and entrepreneurs. In 2017, the pair launched Insight ConneX, a business networking organization focusing on helping professionals grow their business while expanding their networks. He has also taken a stake and operational role in Shogun Challenger Series, an Amateur MMA venue local to the Maryland region, with John Rallo, Anthony Marcantoni, and Bryan Hamper.

When he’s not busy starting new companies, mentoring young entrepreneurs, or spending quality time with his family, Tony enjoys giving back through a variety of outlets. He is currently on the board of the Baltimore Robotics Center, which aims to inspire Baltimore’s youth to pursue careers in science, technology and manufacturing. He also raises money each year for Vehicles for Change, helping their mission to award cars to families, a key effort that transforms lives by ensuring essential transportation. He has been recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal in their 40 under 40, as well as The Daily Records VIP List: Successful by 40. He also received The Associated Italian America Charity Young Man of the Year award in 2025.
